Accessorizing & learning to love snakes!

I am having a ton of fun today designing a client's blank wall with a collage of frames, art and accessories!

The key to a successful eclectic gallery wall is balancing a variety of sizes and shapes, colors and styles, to create a look that reflects your personality.

One of my favorite sources for unique and original accessories is the fabulous Furbish Studio, just down the road from us in Raleigh NC.  I have yet to step foot in their shop, but covet it from afar via their online shop.

I've purchased Sarah B Martin's watercolor prints here before and keep coming back for more of her playful themes and pops of color.  Super well priced too, @ $40 unframed.

Here are her feathers...

in bright colors

or neutra hues

Here are her snakes, yes SNAKES!

It makes me really, really want to like snakes

and the colors in this one... Seriously I might have to have this one...

and her small acrylic panels...

art by Sarah B Martinez

LOVE the color in Pink waves, acrylic 8x8

and this one, Pink Clouds, acrylic 8x8 @ $175

Now to mix in some framed quotes...

Add in some whimsy with abstract giciees

Britt Bass

Giclee print by Britt Bass, 10" x 13" @ $50

Giclee print by Elizabeth Mayville, 11" x 14" @ $44

(because everyone needs a picture of a sweet dog in their home!)

Finally, we'll add personal objects and photographs in a variety of frames

I have been using these with flax linen matting from West Elm for years

gallery frames

wood frames

And these ash wood boxed frames which add dimension when hung on the wall

Annnnd my search continues for more great finds...

thanks for following along!
